Some say the very first BBS to open its doors was in 1978 by a fellow called Ward Christensen who launched his BBS software
"C-BBS". Soon after the WWIV BBS software emerged and a network inspired by messaging known as FidoNet was developed.
During the mid-eighties the BBS community experienced a large boom in software development. More and more programmers released their visions and large names such as MajorBBS and Telegard appeared and thousands of new Bulletin Board Systems started to appear out of no where. A new techno era has commenced.

During the early nineties other software flavors we're on the rise, hundreds of message networks available such as StarNet for example. The community was stronger then ever. LORD (Legion of the Red Dragon), Renegade, VBBS and Powerboard are some of the few new software newly available. The dial-up BBS was more popular than ever.

Nineteen ninety nine marked the commercial debut of the internet and the slow and painful death of this Era. Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) have touched many of us, this is why E-BBS was developed. We hope to recapture some moments and create new ones giving rebirth to a new platform.

The E-BBS Software is a full featured bulletin board system software inspired by an Era which once dominated the world of telecommunications.
